Come on over to enjoy a delicious glass of wine and to welcome a wonderful artist, new to Beaumont Cellars, Beth Whitney.
Long before Beth Whitney wrote her first song, she was being shaped to craft music. Born to a poet and a painter, and raised with her five siblings on a small farm north of Seattle, she was given verse and depiction as companions throughout her childhood.
Beth, an award-winning songwriter, writes simple songs about complex things: faith, suffering, hope, and love. Using her indelible charm and sweetly clever wit, phrases turn, and emotions connect. Beth combines the storytelling of folk music and a delightful bit of pop to not only captivate you during a performance, but to send you home with an anthem that will inspire and buoy you.
Often performing as a duo, husband/collaborator Aaron Fishburn, compliments the melodic gems with steady rhythms and rich bows on the upright bass. Listeners describe Beth and Aaron's onstage persona as original, fresh, and disarming.
Her sweet voice is reminiscent of greats like Ingrid Michaelson, Joni Mitchell and Feist. Her songwriting elicits images of JJ Heller, Mindy Smith and Patty Griffin.
